Support a request
How residents show that a request resonates broadly.
Overview
Requests that move many people should also visibly carry backing from the wider public. decidio provides a low-barrier support function for this: anyone who shares a published request can signal in a few clicks that it matters to them as well.
How it works
On the status page of a publicly visible request there is a support button. Support is possible without an account; to avoid multiple entries the e-mail address is verified once via a click on a confirmation link.
A soft resonance statement then appears on the status page — for example a note that other people share the request. This display deliberately follows the principle of differentiated transparency: residents see a resonance signal, while the municipal administration has access to more detailed information for assessing the request.
Common tasks
Support a request
- Open the status page of the request.
- Click the support button.
- Enter an e-mail address and send.
- Click the confirmation link from the e-mail.
The support is counted as soon as the confirmation has happened.
Withdraw support
Every confirmation e-mail contains a link to withdraw directly. One click is enough to retract the support — the request itself stays untouched.
Interpret the resonance hint
The hint shows that other people support the request. It does not provide exact figures about the audience or weighting — the precise interpretation is up to the responsible moderation team.
