Photo attachments
Which images can be added to a citizen submission and what to watch out for.
Overview
A request often becomes more tangible when an image illustrates it — a pothole on the street or a damaged sign, for example. decidio therefore allows photo attachments to be added to a citizen submission.
How it works
The submission form provides an attachment area. The submitting person can upload images directly from a smartphone, tablet or computer. Common image formats are accepted; the file size is capped so that connections with lower bandwidth can also use the form reliably.
Uploaded images are forwarded to moderation together with the request and become part of the processing there. If persons or personal data are visible on an image, moderation handles them according to the rules described in Legal and data.
Common tasks
Add a photo
- In the submission form click the attachment area.
- Select one or more files.
- Review the preview and remove individual attachments if needed.
- Send the request as usual.
Check data protection
Before sending it is advisable to review the image for recognisable people or sensitive information (number plates, house numbers in close-up). People whose recognisability is not necessary should be made unidentifiable.
Remove an attachment
As long as the request has not been sent, attachments can be removed individually in the form. After sending, moderation is responsible for further changes.
