Four-eyes approval
How high-stake decisions are reviewed internally before publication.
Overview
Decisions with broader impact — such as a decline with extensive reasoning or a reply on a politically sensitive request — should be reviewed before publication. Four-eyes approval makes this review a fixed part of the workflow.
How it works
When the approval rule is active for a step, a preparing person submits the draft for review. A second person from the authorised group reviews, comments and approves — or returns the draft for revision. Only after approval does the status change become public.
decidio additionally supports drafting through an AI-assisted legal-quality review. It points out potential risks and offers phrasing suggestions. The responsibility for the final wording stays with the staff throughout.
For particularly sensitive topics a cross-faction review window can additionally be opened. During this window selected participants get visibility and can contribute notes before the reply is published.
Common tasks
Submit a draft for approval
- Prepare the processing step in the detail panel of the request.

- Optionally add a comment for the approving person.
- Submit the draft — the step now waits for review.
Approve or return a draft
- Open the pending drafts in the review overview.
- Review the draft and consider the hints from the AI quality review.
- Approve the draft or return it with a note.
Use a review window
