Results display

When and how survey results become visible and which updates participants receive.

Overview

A survey only gains its effect through a traceable result. decidio defines when a result is visible and in what form. The display follows the principle: while the survey runs the interim picture stays non-public; once it ends the result becomes visible in one of the configured publication forms.

How it works

When a survey is set up a publication form is chosen. Possible options include "visible immediately after closing" or "visible after closing once editorially approved". The form is part of the public description of the survey so that participants know what to expect from the beginning.

During the runtime the result is stabilised: it can only change through further participations and is not displayed publicly so that ongoing participants are not influenced by a preliminary picture.

Participants additionally receive milestone updates — for example about the end of the runtime or about the publication of the result. The updates are delivered by e-mail and optionally as a web push notification.

Common tasks

Look up the result of a survey

  1. Open the survey link again.
  2. Open the results display — it appears after the close in the previously configured publication form.
  3. Read the description of the publication form so it is clear how to interpret the result.

Enable milestone updates

During participation pick the option for updates and provide an e-mail address or allow a web push notification. Updates can be unsubscribed at any time — the unsubscribe link is included with every message.

Find an archived survey

Closed surveys remain visible in the public overview, with a note on the publication form and the closing time.
