Personalised access
How surveys are run through personal access codes and how single participation is enforced.
Overview
Some surveys are addressed to a clearly defined group of people — residents of a particular street or holders of a specific participation right, for example. For these cases decidio offers personalised access through individual access codes.
How it works
The municipality generates personal access codes and distributes them through the appropriate channel — by post or by e-mail. Whoever receives a code reaches the survey directly through the included link, without having to create an own account.
One participation is possible per code. A completed participation is recorded so that no multiple entries arise — the content of the individual answers stays separate from the identity, however.
Before the actual participation step an information area can be placed. It provides the context and ensures that all participants decide with the same level of knowledge — particularly for topics with a history or with legal weight.
Common tasks
Participate in a survey with a code
- Open the link from the invitation or enter the code on the survey page.
- Read the information area carefully — it is part of the participation.
- Answer the questions and submit the participation.
Request a misplaced code
Should the code have been misplaced, a new code can be requested through the municipality. Already recorded participations are not affected by this.
Skip the information area — where allowed
If the information area is not mandatory, it can be skipped. For surveys with legal weight confirmation of the information area is required, however, so that the participation is counted.
