Moderation inbox
How incoming citizen submissions are triaged and processed inside the municipality.
Overview
The moderation inbox collects all incoming citizen submissions for the staff of the municipality. This is where the decision is made on what happens next with a request — acceptance, follow-up question, forwarding to a committee or a rejection with reasoning.
How it works
The inbox is built as a split view: on the left a list of incoming requests, on the right the detail panel with the full text and all attachments. Filters and sorting help to surface the requests that are relevant for the current role first.
An efficiency bar exposes keyboard shortcuts and quick actions directly inside the inbox. Triage can therefore be performed largely without a mouse.
Internal notes can be attached to every request. Notes are visible only to the moderation team and never become part of the public status page.
Common tasks
Triage a citizen submission
- Open the inbox inside the administration view.
- Highlight the first untouched entry in the list.
- Review the text and the attachments in the detail panel.
- Pick a quick action — for example assign, postpone or decline.
Work with keyboard shortcuts
The most important actions can be triggered from the keyboard through the efficiency bar. The overview of available shortcuts can be revealed directly inside the inbox.
Add an internal note
In the detail panel open the note field, add context for colleagues and save. Notes stay internal and are not part of the status page that residents see.
