How a municipality manages its plan, stores payment methods and uses self-service billing.
Overview
Billing in decidio is built so the municipality can handle the most important steps on its own — without phone call, without ticket. Plan changes, payment method updates and visibility into the running amounts all flow through the billing portal.
How it works
In the billing area of the administration a dedicated portal is available. It shows the current plan, the term and the stored payment methods. The same portal allows changing the plan and payment methods and accessing invoices — see Invoices and statements.
decidio maintains pricing on the public pricing page. The docs deliberately avoid concrete amounts so that only one source for binding plan information exists: the pricing page.
Common tasks
Change the plan
- In the billing area open the portal.
- Pick the desired plan.
- Read the confirmation and accept — the new plan applies as of the time shown in the portal.
Store a payment method
- In the portal change the payment method.
- Complete the security step of the bank or card issuer.
- Save the change — future invoices are charged to the new payment method.
