Surveys and participation

How municipalities offer targeted surveys, a public topic board and a guided submission path.

Overview

Citizen submissions are one direction of participation. Surveys and a public topic board extend the dialogue with a second direction: the municipality actively asks what moves residents and gives topics a visible place.

How it works

In the surveys module the municipality creates surveys with clear questions and a fixed runtime. Residents participate through a link and see when the survey ends and when a result will be published.

The public topic board shows published requests sorted by topic areas. Anyone who wants to submit a request of their own can use the guided submission path: it asks clarifying questions, suggests matching topic areas and at the end hands over the pre-filled submission form for confirmation.

Common tasks

Participate in a survey

  1. Open the survey link — for example from an e-mail or from the municipality site.
  2. Answer the questions and submit the participation.
  3. If desired, set up an e-mail or browser notification to be informed about the result.

Use the guided submission path

  1. Start the guided submission path on the municipality site.
  2. Follow the hints and select the matching topic area.
  3. Review the prepared draft, add details and send.

Browse the topic board

The public topic board can be filtered by topic areas. Every entry links to the associated status page — see Status tracking.
